The Grind is life, to give up the Grind is to give up your life - John Calipari
If you have to take a vacation from your job, you should never go back. Why is it so ingrained into our lives that we should work 9-5 Monday through Friday and get two days off, and then after a year we get two weeks off for a vacation? It is a pretty pathetic way to live life when you really think deep about it. Wouldn't life be so much better if you did what you wanted to do, and in doing so made money at it... Then there is no such thing as a vacation because you are doing what you want everyday, and excited to be doing it. Not, "I can't wait for the weekend to do what I want." Is that really how you want to be living, to hate what you do so much that the weekend is the time you are truly living?
How we live today affects how we are tomorrow - David Agus, MD. This goes for everything: Health, Wealth, Love and Happiness.
Stoics think to the future and do for the future, they are tuff, they save, they live for 30 years from now etc etc. Epicureans; YOLO: you only live once, they live for the today, what feels good now, pleasure today. - Tai Lopez. What one are you? Are you a Stoic or an Epicurean? You are either one or the other... if you want a life of Health, Wealth, Love and Happiness you are going to have to start right now living for tomorrow and not living for today. Be a Stoic.
There is only one way to happiness, and that is to cease worrying about things which are beyond the power of our will - Epictetus
Know that nothing happens overnight. Know that it will take some time to achieve the life you want. It is going to take 18 months to make the full switch and be doing your thing for real. Maybe even longer depending on your Drive. In some cases it may be shorter than 18 months. But if you are not willing, or have the Drive, to tuff things out, experiment and get started today you are going to be saying tomorrow forever. Don't say tomorrow, say right now! Trying to cut out sugar from you diet? Why are you waiting until tomorrow? Didn't you say the same thing yesterday?
